Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a dark, charcoal-like mushroom that grows on birch trees across the cold forests of Northern Europe, Russia and Canada. With a rugged exterior and golden-brown interior, it has a long heritage in traditional practices across these regions, where it was historically simmered into an earthy, coffee-like brew. At Pure Fungi, we craft Chaga into a concentrated dual-extracted extract, using both hot-water and alcohol methods to capture its naturally occurring beta-glucans and other polysaccharides. Chaga is the subject of ongoing research. We offer it as an organic Chaga powder (60g pouch), with its deep, earthy flavour that lends itself to coffee, cacao and warming drinks, and as pre-measured Chaga capsules (90 x 400mg). Every batch is organic, vegan, non-GMO and made and lab-tested in the UK, with no fillers, in a 100% recyclable pouch.
